Fire-Weak Characters
Fire-weak characters deal double damage to Ice-attuned enemies. Load them with Ice-coated attack chips for maximum efficiency on the lower floors.
| Character | Floor | Weakness | Recommended Weapon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unit Alpha | Floor 1 (The Outer Gates) | Fire | Iron Sword |
Ice-Weak Characters
Ice-weak characters counter Fire-attuned biblical angels. They are the majority of the M.A.H.O.U Unit at launch.
| Character | Floor | Weakness | Recommended Weapon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unit Beta | Floor 1 (The Outer Gates) | Ice | Hunter Bow |
| Unit Gamma | Floor 2 (The Heavenly Courtyard) | Fire | Iron Sword |
Unit Gamma faces tougher angelic enemies on Floor 2 — make sure her chip loadout accounts for the Heavenly Curse mechanic before engaging.
How Elemental Weakness Works
Every enemy in Kernel Hearts is attuned to one element and weak to its opposite. Hitting a weakness doubles damage and accelerates the transformation gauge. The character table above lists the correct element for every unit. Bosses follow the same rule — the Floor 1 Guardian is fire-attuned (bring Ice), the Floor 2 Guardian is ice-attuned (bring Fire).
Transformation dispels the Heavenly Curse and reveals your true magical girl form. Exploit weakness hits to fill the gauge faster.
